MED ADMIN
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 3, 2026
Privacy at a glance
- No Med Admin account is required.
- Your optional preferred name, medication records, dose history, appointments, and private health-journal entries stay in the app's local storage on your device.
- On supported Apple devices, optional prescription-label text recognition runs on your device.
- Optional Apple Watch transfer uses Apple's device-to-device WatchConnectivity service; Med Admin does not receive the data.
- The current app has no developer-operated server, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
1. Who operates Med Admin
Operated by Med Admin ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how the Med Admin Android, iPhone, iPad, and optional Apple Watch application (the "App") handles information. Support information appears at the end of this policy.
2. Information you enter
The App lets you enter health-related information so it can create a local reminder schedule and administration log. Depending on what you choose to enter, this can include:
- An optional preferred name used only to personalize greetings and the profile icon
- Medication name, strength, form, and prescription instructions
- Dose time, interval, start date, end date, and food instructions
- Prescriber name, pharmacy name, and pharmacy phone number
- Whether a scheduled dose was marked taken or skipped and the time it was recorded
- As-needed medication records, patient-entered supply estimates, refill entries, and a low-supply level you choose
- A home time zone, a selected travel time zone, and the travel-display method you choose
- Care appointment titles, providers or places, dates, times, private notes, and reminder preferences
- Symptoms, optional pain intensity and mood, measurements and units, injection medicines and sites, related timestamps, and private notes that you choose to enter
- Reminder, pause, archive, and other App preferences
This information is saved locally within the App's storage on your device. The current version does not transmit it to us, does not provide accounts, and does not use a developer-operated cloud for cross-device syncing. If you use the optional Apple Watch companion, the limited next-dose information described below is transferred directly between your paired Apple devices.
The preferred name is optional. It is not included in medication notifications, label scans, or support messages unless you choose to type it into an email yourself. You can change or remove it at any time from the profile screen.
3. Prescription-label photos and text recognition
On supported Apple devices, if you choose the optional photo feature, the App requests access to the camera or to a photo you select. Apple's on-device Vision technology examines the image and suggests text for the form. The current Android version uses manual prescription entry and does not offer label-photo recognition.
- The App does not upload the image or recognized text to us or to a developer-operated server.
- The image preview and raw recognized text are used temporarily while the entry form is open and are not saved as part of your medication record.
- A camera image is not intentionally added to your photo library by the App. A photo you select remains in your library until you manage it there.
- iOS and its photo-handling components may create and manage temporary files while completing your request.
Text recognition can be wrong. You must compare every suggested field and every calculated reminder time with the original prescription label before saving.
4. Notifications
If you grant permission, Med Admin schedules medication and optional appointment notifications locally through your device operating system. Notification text is intentionally generic. Medication reminders do not include the medication name or dose; appointment reminders do not include the appointment title, provider, place, notes, or health details. Your operating system and device handle delivery under your system settings. We do not receive a copy of your notification schedule or delivery history.
5. Apple Watch companion
If you install and use the optional Apple Watch companion, the App uses Apple's WatchConnectivity service to send the next scheduled dose from your iPhone to your paired Watch. This can include the patient-entered medication name, strength, instructions, special instruction, scheduled time, and internal record identifiers. The preferred profile name, prescriber, pharmacy, and diagnosis are not sent to the Watch.
When you tap Taken, Skip, or Snooze on the Watch, that action and the related record identifiers are sent back to the paired iPhone and added to the local App history. The Watch may retain the current dose temporarily so it remains visible when the iPhone is not reachable. This transfer is handled by Apple between your paired devices; it is not sent to Med Admin or a developer-operated server.
6. PDF reports and sharing
You can ask the App to create a medication report or a combined health-journal report as a PDF on your device. Depending on the date range and sections you select, a report can contain medication information, schedules, supply estimates, dose history, appointments, symptoms, pain, mood, measurements, injection-site history, timestamps, and notes. The App opens your device's sharing interface only after you request an export. You choose whether and where to send or save the file. A selected sharing service, recipient, file location, printer, or other destination will handle the report under its own privacy terms. Med Admin does not receive a copy.
7. Information we do not collect from the App
The current App does not send personal data to us. It does not contain developer-operated accounts, cloud sync, third-party advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs, or data-broker integrations. It does not request your location, contacts, microphone, HealthKit data, or Health Connect data.
Based on the current implementation, we do not collect data from the App because App records are not transmitted off the device to us or to a third party.
8. Device backups and platform services
We do not operate a cloud database and the App does not independently sync medication records to iCloud, Google Drive, or another cloud service. The Android version disables operating-system backup and device transfer for App-held data. On Apple devices, iOS or a computer backup may include local App data according to your Apple ID, iCloud, computer-backup, and device settings.
Apple or Google may independently process information when you download the App, manage permissions, receive notifications, use platform features, share a PDF, or contact support through services they provide. We do not control that processing. You can review Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Legal and support website
This legal and support website is hosted by GitHub Pages. When you visit it, GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and access logs for hosting and security. That processing is governed by GitHub's privacy statement.
10. Support requests
If you open a technical support request through the public Med Admin project page, GitHub may receive your account information, message, and technical details you choose to provide. Support requests may be publicly visible. Do not include your name, prescription labels, medication records, medical identification numbers, or other personal or health information. GitHub handles this information under its own privacy statement.
11. Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. We do not use medication or health information for advertising, marketing profiles, or data brokerage. Because App records are not transmitted to us, we cannot disclose or share those records. You control any PDF report you export through your device's sharing interface. Information you voluntarily post in a public technical support request is visible according to GitHub's service settings.
12. Retention, correction, and deletion
Your preferred name, medication entries, appointments, and private health-journal entries remain on your device until you change or remove them or uninstall the App. Removing a medication may leave its existing administration or injection-site history visible so your past log remains understandable. Appointment and health-journal records have their own remove controls. To delete all App-held information, delete Med Admin from the device; on Apple devices, you may also need to manage any iCloud or computer backups.
Because the current App has no account or developer server, we cannot view, correct, or remotely delete the information stored inside your App. You can create a local PDF report yourself from the App. See Support & Data Choices for practical steps.
13. Security
App data is kept within the application's local storage and is protected by the security controls of your device and operating system. Use a device passcode, keep the operating system updated, and do not share an unlocked device with people who should not see your medication information. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
14. Children
Med Admin is not designed for a child to manage medication independently. A parent, guardian, or qualified caregiver should supervise any use involving a minor. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children because it does not transmit personal data to us.
15. International use
The App may be available in multiple countries. Local data remains on your device unless your operating-system backup settings copy it elsewhere. If you contact us or visit this website, email and hosting providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and change the date above. If a future App version adds accounts, cloud storage, analytics, provider connections, or other data transmission, this policy and the applicable app-store privacy disclosures must be updated before that feature is released.
17. Contact
For privacy and technical questions, visit Med Admin Support.
Do not include your identity, prescription labels, medication list, or sensitive medical information in a public support request.
